SUMMARY:Elk Meadow 5K and 10K Trail Race
DESCRIPTION:This 5K race leads runners throughout the rolling hills of Elk Meadow Open Space Park. Runners will start on Pioneer trail and head clockwise around the meadow. The first stretch is a steady downhill along highway 74. From there\, runners will weave their way up to where they will run through the trees along the foot of the mountain. This course treats participants to one of the most scenic and fastest races in Colorado. In fact\, this may be one of the best races you have ever run! The fastest 5K ever run in Colorado was run on this course – 14:07 by Jason Hubbard in 1998.
