It is held annually in Munich\, Bavaria\, Germany from mid or late September\, to around the first Sunday in October\, and it is a 16 to 18 day folk festival. Oktoberfest is an important part of the Bavarian culture\, having been held since the year 1810. Oktoberfest has evolved into a world wide celebration of German culture with special foods\, music\, dancing and drinking.
