SUMMARY:Calarat Challenge Trail Running Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us Labor Day weekend for the Calarat Challenge Trail Running Festival. We start the festivities off on Saturday night with a 5K that you can run\, walk or hike\, and our Kids 1K. Then on Sunday morning\, we have the 1/2 MARATHON and 10K. All trail races start and finish at the Cal-Wood Education Center\, and are run on a number of different trails throughout the beautiful private properties of Cal-Wood and Balarat Outdoor Education Center. \nWe have cabin lodging or camping on Saturday night\, as well as a great pasta dinner prepared. After the race\, celebrate your accomplishment with your family\, friends\, and fellow participants at our after race party. We will have food\, beer\, and music\, so come on up and enjoy everything Cal-wood has to offer.

DESCRIPTION:The East End Mile comes to Downtown Boulder on July 13\, 2023.  There will be a Kids 800m\, 1-Mile wave for those that run or walk slower than 7-min mile pace\, 1-Mile wave for those that run faster than 7-min mile pace\, Masters 1-Mile race\, and a Elite Open 1-Mile race. \nPrize Money will be on the line for Open Male and Female\, Master’s Male and Female\, as well as Age-Graded Masters Male and Female.  This event is the second of the Downtown Boulder Triple Crown Series.  The West End Mile is Thursday June 22nd and the Pearl Street Mile is August 5th. \nAfterwards\, grab a delicious meal or have a drink at one of the local restaurants or bars on the East End of Pearl St.\, and then join us for Downtown Boulder’s outdoor movie night on 16th St. from 8:30pm. The purpose of the “Week of the Young Child”\, is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families\, and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. April is also “National Child Abuse Prevention Month” and a time to highlight the importance of individuals and communities working together to keep kids safe and families healthy. \nThis event will be raising much needed funds and awareness for Boulder Voices For Children. Their mission is to provide trained court appointed special advocates (CASA’s)\, to advocate for children in Boulder County who have experienced abuse and neglect. \nIn addition to being a Bolder Boulder Qualifier\, there is Prize Money for Top Male & Female Overall and Masters.
