“I’m super stoked to be given this opportunity to run in the Leadville 100 through Runners Roost, as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and honestly a dream come true for me!

My training has been sort of all over the place…I’m coming to the end of a half-Ironman focused training block that I sort of had to Frankenstein with Ultra training mixed in, adding some increased mileage, vert, and of course group runs each week to get me prepped for the big day.

It’s been a grind trying to figure out how to manage everything I need to be doing to get myself ready these next couple of months, but I’ve loved every second of it so far and can’t wait to lock in solely on this one goal to give it everything I can.

I’ve wanted to run in Leadville for a long time, as it’s kind of been the pinnacle for me as to what it means to push your body past what you think is possible. I’ve struggled with various health issues in the past such as Crohn’s disease and Ankylosing Spondylitis, but I have been able to reclaim my body and my health over the years and believe that I am more than my diagnosis. This is my chance to prove to myself that I am capable of whatever I put my mind to, and I know that although thus race will test everything I have just to complete it, I know that no matter how much you give towards what is put before you, we can always go further.

Again, I’m so stoked to be given this once in a lifetime opportunity from Runners Roost, the community there has been so supportive and helpful through my journey thus far and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!”
