Meet the Athlete: Sierra Wall

Senior at Fairview HS

What meet are you most excited about this season? I’m so excited for all the team trips and bus rides. I can’t wait to go to Arizona to compete in the Desert Twilight Invite and NXR.

What are your goals and/or what you are looking forward to most this season?  I’m aiming to PR and get top 20 at states. Also, I’m focusing on helping my team as much as possible on both local and major meets, like states and NXR
How is your training going? I had some of the best summer training I’ve ever had. Over the summer, I competed in steeplechase and trained on a lot of trails and hills.
Favorite running memory? My favorite running memory is when I competed for Team USA in Spain at the U18 International Mountain Running Cup. I was part of a team comprised of 4 girls and 4 boys representing America. The experience was incredible! I became really close with my teammates, and I am now friends with runners from around the world.
Favorite place to run in Colorado? I love to run in the mountains, especially Breckenridge and the trails around Boulder
What shoe are you currently running in? My trainers are currently a pair of dark blue ASICS GT 2000s that I bought at the Runners Roost spike event. For trail races, I wear the Hoka Tecton X 2 in the shade blue/orchid, and for cross country meets, I wear white Nike ZoomX Dragonfly XC spikes.

What’s next? I’m looking forward to running in college, but I’m not sure about the division or school yet.
