Denver Metro Kids train for Marathon & 100 Ultra

What? Are you kidding me?

It’s true, but not all at one time. Kids Running America (KRA), a local CO nonprofit is making it possible for school age kids to get outdoors, increase their physical activity levels, promote a lifetime of wellness, and learn all those life skills that runners understand – goal setting, dedication, perseverance, sacrifice, and confidence to name just a few.

Go to kidsrunningamerica.org to learn how your young runner can incrementally complete a marathon or the 100 mile KRA ultra. Log and track miles on their exclusive Mileage Tracking System. After accruing 25 or 99 miles, runners gather down at one of the KRA Final Mile Events to run their last mile of completing their goal. Each participant receives a personalized bib, event day bag, finishers medals and shirt.

Are you training for a spring marathon or ultra? Get your child training alongside you the KRA way – one mile at a time. Kids Running America prides itself on being a program and not a one and done event.

Your young runner can train individually or as part of a team/run club. Teams can be through their school, Runners Roost run club, youth organization – you name it.

Program registration is currently open for the spring session with youngsters finishing their marathon or ultra goal down at Washington Park on Sunday, April 23rd.
