Make a Resolution to Run in 2017

As the weather gets colder and the days are short, the race calendar stays hot through the end of the year and into January. Resolution Runs and early January races are a great way to stay motivated while you partake in all the holiday festivities.

Here are a few of runs and races to help you stay motivated.

Join Runners Roost, New Balance and Nathan Hydration as we celebrate the end of another year on the trails. We will be meeting at Golden’s New Terrain Brewery to run North Table Mountain. New balance and Nathan will be on hand with shoe and hydration demos. Short and long routes will be provided, all skill levels welcome! (Due to the nature of winter trail running please dress appropriately and please wear appropriate footwear and or traction devices.)

Polar Bear 5K

You run faster when it’s cold, right?  Get a great time and have a great time at the Polar Bear 5K!  And new this year you also have the option to sign up for the Polar Bear Challenge: run the 5K and then stand in a bucket of ice water OR plunge into an ice bath (or do both)!!  All donations (min. $5) from the Challenge support our charity partners, Girls on the Run and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Come on!  All the “cool” runners are doing it! Stop by the Roost tent and score some shwag!

Frosty’s Frozen Five and Ten Mile

Frosty’s Frozen Five & Ten is a flat and fast 5 mile and 10 mile race held each January in Littleton, Colorado. The race starts and finishes at Hudson Gardens and the course travels the paved Platte River Trail.
