QUICK AND EASY JAMAICAN JERK CHICKEN

Put a little spice in your life with this easy Jamaican jerk chicken recipe from Dr. Laura Brenner of Studholm Chiropractic. If you’re interested in getting down to race weight, or just making your eating habits a bit healthier, contact them today!

Serves 2-3 Difficulty:  Easy
Ingredients:
-1 teaspoon ground allspice
-1 teaspoon ground cumin
-1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (can modify amount based on heat preference)
-1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
-1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
-1 pound of skinless boneless chicken breast

Mix the spices in a bowl and make a dry rub. Coat both sides of each chicken breast with the spices.
Preheat grill to medium high heat.  Grill for 8-9 minutes per side or until cooked through and juices run clear.

If it’s too cold to grill, bake the chicken at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
